• Vie de Nuit
12 minutes from the town of Flic-en-Flac, which has a nightlife that Grand Bay rivals.
The spectacular Casela Safari Park is 7 minutes up the road. Walk with lions, feed ostriches & baby animals, cross a canyon on the longest zip line in the Indian Ocean.
Blessed with it’s own house, one can snorkel right in front of the suites. Discover snorkelling at the beach by going out in the sea and the reef walls for an incredible marine experience.
• Beach Walks
At the earliest signs of dawn, on the beach – Tamarin Bay. It’s the best way to start one’s day, and an ideal way to enjoy this idyllic beach where you can enjoy a moment of silence or walking your dogs on the beach.
Although the rocks and sea life contribute to an amazing seascape, the particular stretch of beach is not ideal for swimming. However, the guests may enjoy nearby swimming beaches such as Tamarin Bay or La Preneuse which are safe for children and adults alike.
• Back to Basics … Children in Fishing and Fishing in the United States. There is also the possibility of booking a deep-sea fishing trip with our nearby charter partners.
• Water Sports
A wide variety of watersports are available in Black River.
• Island Trips
A great way to spend a day out in the spirit of adventure. Most trips are fully catered and include drinks. Popular island trips include a full day Catamaran trip sailing along the west coast, or a boat trip to Benitiers Island “Benitier Island” where your skipper and his team will set up a lobster feast … highly recommended but do not expect to be the only ones on the island ..
• Glass Bottom Boat Trips
By arrangement with the complex manager, guests can enjoy a lot of the most magnificent corals and underwater features. Guests can also enjoy snorkeling during the trip on prior arrangement.
Kitesurfing is popular in the year when the wind is strong enough and especially during the winter months May – September. Kite-surfing is mostly based around Le Morne which is perfect and easy to get along with. Services provided by the local kiteboarding schools for the more experienced kiters.
• Quad biking & Hiking
Casela Nature Park is an ideal place for you to explore and explore. The restaurant at Casela offers adventurous guests an opportunity to “refuel” with tasty creole meals overlooking the western seascape.
• Horse riding
Horse-riding trips can be organized along the beaches of Le Morne, or in the hills of Chamarel. There is something for every riding enthusiast to enjoy.
Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or just want to see some of the local scenery first hand, the West Coast from Tamarin towards the South is cycling paradise. Early mornings make for little traffic and makes cycling along the coastal road a magnificent cycling experience. Generally, riders liked to cycle past the Morne or towards Belle Ombre, possibly returning to the steady climb called Fantasy.
• Mountain Biking
Mountain biking enthusiasts will enjoy the West with the slopes of the Black River Gorges and its surrounding hills in particular, as well as the endless possibilities of the surrounding sugar cane fields starting in Black River all the way to Medina Sugar Estate. For a lot of people looking for a group ride – the usual meeting place for experienced riders at the London Supermarket lot parking lot at 6am on Saturdays
Tamain and the surrounding areas of “Les Salines” are rich with historical significance and have become established and landmark of the years especially for its fortified towers “The Martello Tower”. Marvel at the beautiful Tamarin salt pans and see how salt is still the traditional way. An amazing photographic opportunity.
• Dolphin Swimming
Watch the dolphins in the water for a lifetime.
• Vanilla Bean
Vanilla Bean serves as an excellent food for the world. Great for adults and kids alike. A real treat not to miss .(8am – 4pm).
• Junction Café
Junction cafe is a great coffee shop with the advantage of having a beauty salon right next door … Do not miss the great coffee, salads, chicken wrap and fridge cheese cake! (9am – 4pm)
• Big Willy’s
Big Willy’s is a restaurant / bar at the entrance of Tamarin, not far from Kaddy More supermarket. Expect live sports games / big screens and good old fashioned draft beer. the atmosphere gets busy on Fridays and Saturdays with parties going late into the night. (will deliver to apartments)
On the beach of Tamarin Beach, La Madrague is a upmarket restaurant overlooking the ocean. You can enjoy space, and lounging around the pool while the kids play.
• The Nineteen
Situated at the Tamarina Golf Club, “The 19” is amazing for lunches and especially breakfasts. Overlooking the greens and Tamarin Mountain, you are sure to be disappointed with the experience.
• The Sirandanes
The Sirandanes is located at La Preneuse Beach, within the premises of the Bay Restaurant. Amazing Sunsets, great breakfasts and meals throughout the day, the special touch is the local ambience and beachfront setting.
• High tide
On the shores of Tamarin Bay, in the “vibey” and colorful Tamarin hotel, The High Tide is a restaurant where guests can enjoy a seafood experience, and have the convenience of live jazz on Thursday evenings and the sound of waves nearby. Local Tip – Bring your drinks to the Tamarin Beach to watch the sunset, then make it to the restaurant
• The Creole Cabin
On the road to black river, you will see a signpost on the road … Great local fare, prices are pretty steep for some dishes and meals are excellent quality and the portions are fresh and tasty! Enjoy your meal.
• The Good Fall
An old favorite, The Good Fall is within walking distance of the suites and is a great destination for expatriate residents.
• The Kiosk
The Kiosk is within the Creole Creek and offers great outdoor lunches and dinners in a cosmopolitan atmosphere of tourists, locals and business people. The burger + chips is a killer not to miss.
Upmarket restaurant for all occasions. Expect great service and even better meals. The restaurant is located in Ruisseau Creole.
In Creole Creek, Pizza is closer to Black River. Pizzadelic is a sure bet for good quality pizza’s. Phone to order and pick up Pizza’s for takeaway the dining area itself is not great.
• Cosa Nostra
Renowned for the best Pizza’s in Tamarin. Do not be in a rush the service is pretty slow, so make sure you order before the dinner rush …. Also Pizza’s are best, try the pizza vegetarian with extra spicy meat.
Bali style atmosphere, thatch kiosks, a pool and great Mojitos, this is a real Zen bar / restaurant which is a favorite for travelers and locals alike. Wednesday is buffet night so book early to get a kiosk. Free wi-fi internet at the bar.

Domaine Anna is a favorite for locals and travelers alike. One of the only restaurants to have such a great reputation for events and great family meals.
